Data Deletion Policy

When you sign up or log in with Facebook, we store your name, email address, and Facebook user ID. We may also store your profile photo URL if provided by Facebook.

Additionally, we store any data you create on the platform: exam attempts, answers (encrypted at rest), scores, rankings, reviews, and payment records.

You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".

Please include the email address associated with your Examly account so we can locate your data.

Alternatively, you can delete your account directly from your Profile Settings page after logging in.

Upon receiving your request, we will permanently delete the following within 30 days:

Account information — name, email, profile photo, Facebook user ID, and any linked social login credentials.

Exam data — all exam attempts, submitted answers, scores, and leaderboard entries.

Payment records — transaction history (subject to legal retention requirements).

Reviews and social data — exam reviews, teacher follows, and notifications.

We may retain certain data where required by law (e.g. financial transaction records for tax or audit purposes). Such data will be kept in a secure, restricted-access environment and deleted once the legal retention period expires.

Aggregated, anonymised data (e.g. average exam scores) that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely.

Once your data has been deleted, we will send a confirmation email to the address associated with your account.

After deletion, your data cannot be recovered. If you wish to use Examly again, you will need to create a new account.
